Hubei built a National Center for health consumption, and the major health industry exceeded 1.2 trillion yuan at the end of the 14th five year plan

The reporter learned from the Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission that Hubei Province issued the "14th five year plan" for the development of large-scale health industry, and proposed to strive to reach the total scale of 120 billion yuan by the end of the 14th five year plan, with the overall level ranking in the forefront of the country.

The plan proposes that Hubei Province will build a large health industry spatial layout of "one core, two belts and multiple plates", layout nine key directions, implement seven key tasks, and strive to significantly improve the industrial leading ability and competitiveness by the end of the 14th five year plan. Hubei will become an internationally famous large health industry development cluster and a national center of health consumption, Wuhan has become one of the three most important national medical centers leading the development of national medicine and the leading demonstration area of national bioeconomy.

The nine key directions are biomedicine, medical devices, medical services, traditional Chinese medicine, health care and elderly care, fitness services, healthy food, new health formats and future industries. It is a group of pilot projects to build and support a number of well-known industrial parks and focus on building and cultivating a number of leading enterprises.

By the end of the 14th Five Year Plan period, the innovation ability of the great health industry in Hubei Province has been significantly improved. The plan proposes to add more than 30 national major scientific and technological R & D platforms and more than 150 provincial R & D platforms. Support local leading enterprises to become world-class enterprises, cultivate two new enterprises with an operating income of more than 50 billion yuan, 10 enterprises with an operating income of more than 10 billion yuan, 8-10 enterprises listed in the mainstream capital markets at home and abroad, 2-3 top 100 enterprises of China's pharmaceutical industry of the Ministry of industry and information technology and a number of industry "unicorns" and "invisible champions", and attract 8-10 top 100 global innovation enterprises to layout in Hubei. The plan also proposes to build 15 benchmark provincial large health industry demonstration zones with an output value of about 20 billion yuan and 30 large health industry characteristic parks with an output value of more than 5 billion yuan. The construction of Wuhan National biological industry base has been further accelerated, becoming the most important R & D and production base of high-end medical equipment in China and the national biological economy agglomeration area.
